What lock-in usually looks like
The model sold hardest to businesses in Sweden right now is a free website against several years of lock-in. The site is rented, the domain is in the name of the supplier, and a business has no statutory right of withdrawal. You notice on the day you want to move.
Three questions to ask before you sign
Who is the registered owner of the domain? What happens to the site if I cancel? What does it cost to leave? If you do not get a straight answer to all three, you have had your answer anyway.
How we do it
The domain is registered to your business from the start. The site is bought, not rented. The monthly fee of €49 has one month of notice and no charge for leaving. If you leave, we send you the content and the code in an ordinary file format.
What we get out of it
That we have to earn next month, every month. That is deliberate. Whoever stays should stay because the site is doing its job, not because an agreement says so.
You see the site before you pay for it.
That is backwards from how the industry usually works, where you pay for a quote to find out what you might get. It seems fairer that you see the result first.
You look at it
You get a link. Open it on your phone, which is where your customers will see it anyway. If it is not good, it ends there.
We fix what is wrong
Names, prices, photos, wording, the order of the page. Tell us what to change and it is normally changed the same working day.
It goes live and becomes yours
You pay €319, we connect the domain that is already in your name, and the site goes up. After that €49 a month, cancel whenever you want.

What happens to the site if I cancel?
It is yours. We send the content and the code and transfer the domain, which is already in your name. You can move it to any host you like.
Is there a cancellation fee?
No. One month of notice, and then it is over.
Can I change my mind about buying the site?
If you cancel before the site has gone live you get the whole one-off fee back. It is in the terms.
